Vitamin B12 deficiency. RDI for adults is 2mcg. Needs to be combined with calcium during absorption to properly benefit the body. Vitamin B12 is supplied mainly by animal products since plant foods don't contain it. This will improve your concentration, memory andbalance. Also relieves irritability, increase energy and maintain a healthy nervous system. May also correct your heart palpatations. Foods rich in Vitamin B12 are yeast, liver, beef, eggs and kidney.

If the palpitations present themselves as a rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) or an irregular heartbeat, you might have something called Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome. WPW is an electrical problem with the heart (see my reference for a much better explanation than anything I could write) that results a variety of symptoms, such as palpitations, tachycardia, dizziness, etc.
