go to a shelter and ADOPT___the dogs there are great and truly appreciate a good home--the adoption fees usually cover spaying or nuetering and shots etc.

I have adopted 2 dogs from locoal humane society's and have never regreted it--do some research before you make a decision...you will NEVER regret adoption=less costly and never a bad decision. Also consider pet insurance for health reasons. Find it on the web at www.petinsurance.com

better to be safe than sorry

love those who need a home...

best regards,
Aero

I encourage people to *never* give away free puppies...since they are easy targets for people who need free dogs for *bait* in dog fighting training, and also lab's who do tests/experiments on animals.

How do we know you are not one of these people?

If what you said is true..I am sorry for the loss of your dog. Especially since there is a chance it went to one of the two things I am talking about. Which is why I encourge locks on gates..and dogs not being left out alone.

(I once had to do constuction work in a hospital's underground tunnels...I could hear the dogs screaming). It was *Horrible*!

And it's not as far away as you think.

Go to your local shelter. You will have to pay. But if you can't pay that small fee for the dog..you can't afford the dog.

Period.

Sorry to hear about your dog getting stolen. I'm Canadian so I don't know of any places that are free in the States. I got my dog from the Humane Society for $250 and that included her being fixed, UTD on all her shots and micro chipped...plus it get one of them out of the pound.

Good luck!

You can adopt a dog from a rescue organization or group in your state. There are several i found which i listed below, all of which you can locate near your area. These dogs have been given up to the rescue group because their owners are unable to care for them anymore so they need folks to adopt them.

The rescue organizations in the country are non-profit groups that rescue animals and find homes for them. All they charge you is the cost of the shots and what it cost them to care for the dog. They care for the dogs, train them and prepare them to go to good homes.

We just got two great pyranees a month ago and these dogs are the sweetest and most wonderful dogs. The rescue organization helped us pick our dogs and brought them to our home. They are all volunteers so they really care for these animals and treat them with such affection

I hope you find your baby a net pet!
