I think whether he's lying or not, a "break" means to break up entirely. If he's not able to date, but you are, then by letting you go... he is being a martyr. (not a good thing) Martyrs sacrifice themselves for others to have better opportunities. He's telling you it's okay to go date other guys. He's practically MAKING you do it. So, give him his wish. Grieve his loss for a few days or weeks or hours... then start telling guys... "sure, I'll go on a date with you... I'm SINGLE!"
(I never knew a teenager that was in love LET HIS PARENTS dictate to him about his friends or girlfriends. Parents should know that the "forbidden" card doesn't work with teenagers.) Translation: He might be lying to you.

Its hard to say. I see your position on it. I also see his.
Maybe he got in alot of trouble and is just trying to lie low for right now until it blows over.
A month seems like a long time when you are young, but as you get older you will find you are better able to figure stuff like this out.
(you think a month is long - try breaking up from a three year relationship - no fun!)
The best advice I can give you right now is to be patient, and to wait and see. Its only two weeks and then you will know for sure, right?

It sounds like he is telling the truth... but is kind of using it as an excuse to break up also. Try again later whenever he is available and not grounded and see how things work out. but stay available for awhile so that he knows you arent going anywhere just yet... but dont seem TOO available so he knows that you arent going anywhere period bc then he will use you.

He wants to concentrate on getting his grades back up and you should let him. School should come first. It's only 2 weeks and it's not like you've been together for years. You should use this time to concentrate on your school work too. Just my opinion. Good luck.

I don't think that he is breking up with you.. He just want some time alone studying for his term so he can get better grades.. Better grades means happy parents.. Happy parents means more freedom to go out and enjoy with his girl..

hmmm, if he dodges you in school then he's trying to break it off. Good luck if that's the case; I'm sure you could find better.
