Things that impress me: Great Attitude, Don't show Frustration, Eager to learn...and give it 110%, 110% of the time. Ask the coach to stay later, ask the Varsity players for one on one time with them...I think if this means enough to you, you'll find a way to put absolutely everything in it.
I have a girl on my JV team this year who's never played before, and because of HER determination, effort etc...she's blocking big hitters, running quick attacks...she's stepped out of her shell.

pracrice practice practice and make sure that volleyball is for you before u make this commitment. it is hard work and will cost u a pretty penny. But if u are determined practice with someone that really knows the game have them give u tips and pointers on them hope this helps!

take a lot of camps, find good private lessons with some one really good or someone you know on the varsity team, practice, but it's really hard to make a sports team being a beginner. no beginner at my school has ever made the team

just try out for the team. do your best. and if you dont qualify for varsity, then you will make the JV team. good luck my friend.
