If God let you stay twenty forever then you might as well not exist. What lessons could you learn from not aging? No to remain in one state indefinitely is to become stagnant, and stagnation leads to death, simple.
Our lives are a learning experience, one that we could not hope to gain the most out of if we did not grow and change throughout it.
The other thing is, as corny and cliched as it sounds, you are only as old as you feel, so if you feel 20, you'll be twenty, power of the mind and all that.

If God didn't love you he probably would. My life at 20 wasn't really that great, but I sure have learned a lot since then. If you don't get older, you don't get to experience all of what life has to offer. At each stage in our lives, we learn something about life and hopefully about ourselves. At 29 and holding I can say life just gets better with age. Enjoy life now, but if you don't.. it can get better if you want it too. We grow from all of our experiences! What a boring world if no one knew what it was like to have suffered threw raising children and the joy that also comes with it , or grandchildren......... Live each day to it's fullest..and be 29 forever!

I read in a book that they've studied the brain wondering why young kids do stupid things that contradict "common sense", and they found that the part of the brain that analyzes risk doesn't physically develop until your late twenties. So, I think ppl would be doing a lot of dumb things if they didn't develop past that point.

Because God can't. Death is an inevitable concomitant of multicellular life as it's evolved on earth. If you don't like dying, imagine being algae. Safer, but much more boring. Death is the price we pay for consciousness, poetry, music, and sex.

Because we are rotten sinners and we need a savior, and when we finally accept Jesus as our savior we will have eternal life in heaven one day, who needs to be twenty we will have eternal life in paradise to those who let Jesus be their lord and savior.

(Hey, Chaotic Freak, the question is about your Deity, too!)
Because being 20 eternally would make us incredibly stupid. It would be so boring not to grow and change, to be a constant slave to hormones and immaturity.

Do you know how boring that would be? Do you know how massively overpopulated the world would be after 20 years?
