If I tell her about it she over reacts and acks all ticked of for like 2 weeks. How can I tell her so she will stop?

She will have to realize on her own that there are no worthwhile rewards for displaying a bad temper. Maybe writing her a honest and heartfelt note (slid under bedroom door or something) telling her how she acts and why you care.

She may need someone to listen to her without confirming or countering her questions/comments. I noticed some people their loose temper because they feel like they aren't being heard, whatever it is they are trying to say.
