Whenever I try to open a program or Anything on my documents, a popup comes up and says "Data execution Prevention -Microsoft windows" and it stops me from opening anything! Please, any help would be appreciated. I would also like a full answer, so If I left out anything you could use to help me, my email is drewsterlab@aol.com

thats odd.

if you know the name of the program that is causing DEP to trigger you can add it to the list.

To open System Properties, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
Click the Advanced tab and, under Performance, click Settings.
Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.



Click the option box that says turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select. Now add the name of theexe of the program to the list by clicking Add.

If DEP was already set to this, there is your problem, then you should change it to turn on Dep for essential programs and services only.

Adding a program to the list can be very dangerous if you are not 100% sure what the program does.
