When a dog loves you, they work harder for you.

That lady that won the Ididarod sled dog race, like 5 times in a row, (can't remember her name, sorry) said the only thing she did differently from everyone else was to make each of them a special pet. That, because she spent time with them, they tried harder for her.

Police dogs that go home with their cop partners do better on the job.

So, bring the pup in the house and make a pet of him. He will do better and be a better hunter for it.

Sure you can. The training for a good hunting dog does not include attack training against you or your family. The dog is a bit of a drooling slob, but a likable slob.

most coonhounds work in packs, so if you want to hunt coons, then your dog should be kept and trained as a hunting animal. if you want to feild trial him then he should definatly not be an inside dog until he has finished, if your just going to use him occasionally as a hobby then why not love him and keep him inside, just dont expect him to do anything miraculous. walkers are beautiful
