What are you good at doing? What comes naturally easy to you? That'd be it.

It could be something you excel at more than others or it could be life in itself and your ability to enjoy it. It also could be your talent or hobby, and it even could be something you take extreme care and precision to complete as accurately as possible like your job. There is no specific way to discover this "God given gift" except by a sudden realization that strikes most (not all) people suddenly and unexpectedly. You will know when this phenomena happens. It is impossible to miss.

No one really knows what there given gift or purpose in life is. We each have a different purpose in life. It may be something as small as making someone laugh or smile. As insignifinate as you may think it is to you, it may mean the world to that one person and that could your purpose in this life.

God Bless remember EVERYONE has a PURPOSE

Because I am at peace with who I am -- at long last. I am at peace with my life's work -- and I guarantee that it is not in making tons of money like I had once hoped. I truly love my life -- and going to school everyday....I am a high school Special Ed teacher....moderate disabilities. All of my kids are emotionally/behaviorally challenged. Yet just 8 years ago if someone had even suggested that I go into teaching I would have laughed....and run away from that person. I could NEVER imagine me working with these very needy kids. I love them!!!!!

an indication is something you excel at....find a way to use your talent for the glory of God.
a good way to be sure is to pray about it.
also, God will reveal it to you if you just seek it. my friend is a great public speaker and fairly charismatic. she wanted to be a politician but then lost interest and didn't know what she was going to do with her life. the Lord kept sending opportunities to lead in church her way, and even put her in a summer seminary institute, but she just wouldn't accept her calling. Finally, a minister she'd never met before came up to her and said, "you should be a pastor." my friend prayed about it and now she's certain that's what she is meant to do.

I may not be a Christian but I commit to what I do best like for example I happen to be a good at fixing stuff and I like cars and auto racing so I became a mechanic and ever since then I have been happy, so really, what is something you do best? It could be anything from cooking to skydiving as long as you have a passion for what you do and you happen to not suck at it but excel at that skill then that should be your skill

It is certainly tough to know since both the gift and giver are imaginary.

On the other hand, I guess that means each of us can determine that for ourselves. So, it turns out we never needed the imaginary critter anyway. Thanks for helping we work through that.
