Looking for quality of experiences from previous holiday makers. Probably looking at a month long trip. Driving, food/wine, relaxing, nature, beaches etc - present for parents

WA. They can drive down to the Margaret River wine growing area if they want. (which also has great beaches) you can tour the south west and see the Karri forests, the surfing... lots of great tours down south or they can plan there own trip doing as much or as little as they want.

If they base in Perth, they can do the swan valley wineries, head up to Cervantes and the pinnacles, and relax at Cottesloe beach before heading down to historic Fremantle for lunch or dinner (or both)

Well, Australia is a big country. The western part is nice, but not so many big cities. There is more to do in Queensland because there is more urban area in that state.
However, the list you gave didn't much sound like it required urban areas. My favorite parts of Australia were Albany (really small city in the SW) and Tasmania.

I live in Perth, and I would love to spend a month driving around this state. If it was for younger people I would probably say qld, but for your folks I would say WA. lucky buggers!!

remember you got the Kimberley up north....jeez can I come too?!

Well QLD is full on queenslanders so I'd go to WA if I were you. Especially if you like wine
