Any piercing can become infected easily. Its all a matter of how it was pierced and how much you care about your body and your piercings. I have 26 piercing, 6 of which are navel piercings and never have had a problem. Its because I followed the proper instructions and I didn't cut corners.
Most often people who get infections are those who do not do as their piercer told them to, they change the jewelry too soon and they don't take a moment to stop and think that a piercing is a wound and as such needs to be taken care of. There are plenty of factors that go into what can cause an infection, but the most common is just a general lack of care.
If you get a navel piercing and you take care of it, you shouldn't have issues. Besides, with navel piercings, rejection is far more common than infections. And sometimes regular healing is confused for infections because people are panicky. Its true!

Yes. They typically takes 6 months to OVER a year to fully heal so you are left with an open wound for that amount of time. Also, they are on a part of your body that is always moving and has clothing rub on it. Many people tend to touch this while it is healing too so that causes problems.
If you are pierced by a reputable piercer with proper equipment and jewelry and take proper care of your piercing, then you greatly minimize your chances of infection, rejection and other problems.

Not very easily. I had mine done twice. The first time I had no problems at all. The second time it got infected. I think it was because I was not as diligent about the antibiotic lotion. I guess I thought since it healed so well the first time it would again. I'm here to tell ya though, if it does get infected..it's nasty & hurts like h%**. Keep it very clean & medicated.

that's lovable inspite of the incontrovertible fact that that's quite some artwork. you ought to save it very sparkling, do no longer enable clothing rub it or it's going to make it worse. it is likewise truthfully closed besides so in case you circulate away it out too long this is going to close. It does harm once you get it executed yet, no longer likely as much as a pair different piercings might. in case you place on low decrease pants lots and don't positioned on tight shirts which will rub the tummy button you would be ok if no longer...nicely your cloth wardrobe might want a transformation.

Every body is different. Remember that the belly button piercing is a foreign object and your body is naturally trying to defend itself from it. Just remeber to take off the ring at least once a day to wash the piercing with a cotton swab and alcohol. Also wash the ring. If you ever drop the ring, make sure you clean it with alcohol before placing back in the piercing.

ANY peircings are easily infected, unless you keepthem clean until they heal. then they become like normal skin. There is staff bacteria on the skin naturally (it's REALLY hard to get rid of). I recommend cleaning with hydrogen peroxide 2 or 3 times daily and keeping an antibiotic ointment on the wound until it heals. It should heal within one week.

any piercign can become infected easily. but navel piercings are harder to heal! only cause there is so much bending and twisting in the waist. they can take up to a full year to heal. your risk of infection can be greatly minimized by not touching it. or only touching it with clean hands when you HAVE to.. wich you dont.. sea salt soaks, antibacterial soap and a piercing aftercare the studio shoudl supply you. follow the aftercare and it shoudl be smooth sailing! good luck

yes they do infect easily. because they rub on your cloths often which can irritate them, also can infect because of sweat. I've had mine pierced for 6 years and it occasionally infects. After working out or doing anything that causes you to sweat be sure to wash it.

Yes, for two reasons.
1. the blood flow in that area is very limited so it takes quite a while to heal.
2. that area stays moist, and where there is moisture there is a high chance of infection.
