They keep a lot murderers, perverts, and violent criminals out of circulation, until some ----head liberal lawyer or judge or parole board turns them loose to commit more atrocities against the law abiding.

From the experience I had dealing with the prison system, I can definitely say they are a good thing. I however went home everyday to my family. I was a guard at a high security men's prison in TX for a while. Until you have actually stepped inside the gate and heard it close and lock behind you, you take for granted the people that go in there every day and put their life on the line to make sure that these murderers, rapists, child molesters and so on stay locked up where they have to pay their debt for the unspeakable crimes that they have committed against society.

If you have ever had another person committ a violent act against you, or your loved ones I'm sure then you would understand the reason they are good. They are good because they are keeping these offenders away from your family, and keeping them safe.

If you can live there without having to commit any crime, that will be wonderful.

Very few people know this, prison is not only good, it is a great place:

free room and board
free security
free medical
everything is free

I really think it is a good place to retire to. Can you imaging if you lost your job and get put away in a solitary cell, would that be great ? Can you imaging that ?

ye they have both pros and cons but the main reason i can come up with why they are good is if they work properly they will keep the bad in and the good out. i mean the prisons are there to keep us safe from dangerous people who have been proven to be dangerous to society.

I suggest you read the book "Without Conscience--the Disturbing World of Psychopaths Among Us" by Robert D. Hare, PhD. THAT is why prisons are good.

It keeps the **** BAG criminals away from the good people who obey the laws. The problem is, they don't keep most of them in there long enough !!!
