Great question...I suppose if you're at chick-fil-A or at home you'd have a chicken sandwich, however if you're at 'Burger' King, Micky D's, Arby's, In & Out burger or Wendy's you'd have a chicken sandwich. Really, it probably all boils down to the type of bread because even if you have Chicken on bread BUT are at subway, you're eating a Sub Sandwich. Go figure!! :)

If it comes in a bun with burger fixings, it is a burger. That is why the hambuger (in the US) or beef burger (everywhere else on the planet) has the word beef or ham in front - to differentiate between these and other burgers. In the UK for example, it is a sandwich if it has bread, and a burger if it has a bun.

You can buy ground chicken, so I guess you can make a burger out of it. Try this turkey burger recipe with ground chicken:
TURKEY BURGERS
2 lb. ground turkey
2/3 c. seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well. Shape into 8 patties 1/2 inch thick. Broil burgers 5 to 6 inches from heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side.

isn't a fowl burger in basic terms a fowl sandwich, and probably no longer interior the comparable nutrition relatives by using fact the burger? possibly this is a close-by ingredient, by using fact i've got on no account heard them noted as fowl burgers. So what do you call cooked ham in a bun with lettuce and mayo?

You can always grind chicken breast to make a ground chicken out of it. Ask your butcher to do it for you.
