your clingy ex finally realized you were never coming back and moved on, now that she is completely gone you realize that you wanted her or at least wanted her friendship.
If you want have any form of a future friendship, you should be happy she has moved forward and closed a portion of her life and can move on,
of course it would feel crappy that she was fully gone and had moved on, because you liked the idea she would be a plan B if you wanted to get back together. Don't allow yourself to feel bad move forward just as she has, perhaps the future will hold a friendship for you

I got dumped by one, and that came as a huge suprise. I went from fighting for a little oxygen (no room for air with her ego in the room) to "wow, but there were a lot of things I liked about you" in the space of a few days, and that took about 2 months to get over.
