Alot of teens get pregnant. Then they talk about how much they want the baby but after they have the baby they dont take care of the child usally it is the mother or someone else that does it.

I do not agree with anything you just said. I'am a teen mother and I love my child and do take care of him by myself. It was not a planned pregnants. I belive if you have sex than you should take the conciquences.

A lot of times teens aren't getting the attention they need at home. They think that having a baby will give them the nurturing and attention that they are looking for. Unfortunately what they don't understand is that babies are a responsibility 24/7 and that means they won't have time to enjoy life while they are young. This of course is where mom or grandma comes in. I don't understand why mom or grandma even steps up to take responsibility for the most part. Why let your teen go out and have fun when they have a responsibility that they chose in the first place.

Although almost every teen parent fits into the category you've set, not all do. This girl at my school has a baby last year and I've seen her around town with her daughter. In fact, I almost always see her with her child except when she's at school. Its a small town to so I see her quite alot. I figured I'd share this story just to point out that in every generalization, there are those who don't fit the mold.

because they are teenagers. the same reason they desperatly want anything then find out how much work it is and then don't want to do that work. many teens though can have and raise a well rounded and educated child. so not all teens are like this. some are more mature than others.

When my sister was 12 she wanted a horse. When she got the horse she was too scared of it to ride it. My 9 year old wants a dog. I am quite sure she won't take care of it like she promises she will. Children think they want babies.. you hear a variety of reasons. They "want someone who will love them forever" or "want to show him how much they love him" Or whatever. They do not take into account how hard it is to fulfill the role they are taking on. They are not mature enough to realize exactly how much work and how THANKLESS it is of a job. Much like my sister and her horse... it was to much when she got what she wanted.

Babies are hard work and expensive. Not even an older parent realizes that until they have them, but I think better equipped to take on that responsibility with age and social group.

Teens get pregnant mostly because they want sex, rather than to get pregnant. (Which is reasonable.) But, once pregancy hits, what to do? Humans are genetically programmed by evolution to try to nurture their children, but that ranges from difficult to impossible for a teenager to do: they don't have the necessary money or skills.

That's kids having kids. They are not mature enough to be mothers. Those babies should be adopted to some good childless couples who can give the child what it needs.
