Hello Reshmita,

Communication training is quite easy to learn but needs extensive practice and exposure, the very fact that you are watching TV news channels are very good for learning and also helps you to practice very easily, but, to be fluent and to get your enunciation right watch international News channel like BBC,CNN or FOX news. I know out of personal experience that the news anchors are trained for weeks in clarity of speech and pace-tone projection and other factors as they have to be understood by the multitude of different people from various regions and classes.
Coming to where you can get a proper training in India, it is easy with call-centers mushrooming all over India, look at your local region and identify a reputed training centre and I can be sure they will impact an appropriate course for you.

Also, identify friends, colleagues or people around you who speak excellent English and make sure you converse with them on a daily basis, for what amount of time you take in reading on the subject , practice will improve your communication skills better than reading books.

What is communication after all. What you want to convey should be understood by the other person in proper perspective. Similarly you should understand what others convey. This can be achieved with regular practise.
As you rightly said TV news channels and other will definitely help in refining your skills. But one thing be aware, on abstract matters the so called intellectuals use all sorts of jargon's and do not convey any thing. However intelligent you may be you cant make any thing out of it.
Then comes news papers. In India I find only one papers that gives importance to language that is THE HINDU. I am the reader of this paper for last 50 years. Though there is fall in standards, it is still better when compared to other papers. One should know what to be read in papers to improve skills. Ignore all gossip and read only editorials 3 or 4 times every day. After one year you will find a change in your communication standards.
Next point Spend at least half an hour in front of a mirror and speak to your selves and observe your expressions and body language and see they confirm with the message you are conveying.
Majority of the TV anchors do lot of home work before they come on the screen. This can be achieved with constant practise and not in any other short cut method.

"Mentioned below are few tips and tricks how you can improve your communications skills:

Firstly, know what communication really is.
Secondly, have courage to say what you think: Be confident in knowing that you can make worthwhile contributions to conversation. Take time each day to be aware of your opinions and feelings so you can adequately convey them to others.
Thirdly, Practice: Developing advanced communication skills begin with simple interactions. Communication skills can be practiced every day in settings that range from the social to the professional.
Fourthly, enunciate your words: Speak clearly and don’t mumble. If people are always asking you to repeat yourself, try to do a better job of articulating yourself in a better manner.
Fifthly, pronounce your words correctly: People will judge your competency through your vocabulary. If you aren’t sure of how to say a word, don’t use it.
Sixthly, use the right words: If you’re not sure of the meaning of a word, don’t use it. Grab a dictionary and start a daily habit of learning one new word per day. Use it sometime in your conversations during the day.
Seventhly, slow your speech down: People will perceive you as nervous and unsure of yourself if you talk fast. However, be careful not to slow down to the point where people begin to finish your sentences just to help you finish.

These are some of the tips which I learnt when I was studying at inlingua institute. These tips really helped me to improve my communication skills."

Lots of foreigners hate accents. People say that Americans hate accents. But don't worry if you have one. If you spoke perfect English, everyone would be like "wow, you speak very well". No one will dislike you for not being able to speak English perfectly. Us Americans mess up every once in a while! The people you see on TV are very good at speaking, otherwise they wouldn't have taken those jobs.
