I got off with the least amount of punishment - a $100 fine, and it was over 15 years ago. I applying for a job that's going to do a background check.

It will show up on your FBI rap sheet forever. You don't have to admit to anything from over ten years ago on an application. As long as you aren't going for a job at a high clearance government contractor like Bechtel you shouldn't have to worry about it.

It willl always be there even if you have something expunged. If it is expunged it can not be held against you but it is on your record!!
