I think I know what the problem is. It's possible, if you have an anti-spyware program (spy sweeper), it is balking access to that key; that key is most like the BHO key (Browser helper objects- such as yahoo toolbar). Disable your spyware program and try to repair it rather than install it then reinstall it.
