Let's talk abt. my experience first.Abt.a year ago,i was 135 pounds but i was only 17 with a height of 166 cm so clearly i was overweight as my dietician boyfriend told me.U may not see that as overweight but it's different here in Hong Kong where the slimming effect fills the air.I was not into crazy weight-losing diets that leave models or film stars with nothing but bones.I had a balanced diet.My bf said"No carbs,no sugary or oily food and more exercise!!" and that was how i was put onto diet.I ate much less than before with mainly vegetables for meals and lost 13 pounds in 1 and a half month.I never did any exercise but the diet had already worked for me.
As for my 60-year-old aunt who was diagnosed as over-weight a few months ago also took my bf's advice to go on a diet. She was 145 pounds and only 164cm tall which was a bad sign. She made salads for dinner each night containing roman lettuce, cucumbers, strawberries, tomatoes, alot of balsamic vinegar and a lil olive oil.As soon as her diet started, she had already lost 9 pounds in 7 days which was unbelievable and shocked my bf.
So,i suggest u eat more vegetables to lose weight.Veggies easily fill u up cuz they r time-consuming in digestion. As 4 exercise,u ought to do at least 15 to 30 minutes a day and u must sweat.Don't eat too much after exercise cuz u'll surely gain back the weight in no time.Try eat salad afterwards.
If ur still puzzled,u can ask 4 advice from a dietician.Mine is helpful.God bless U!^_^

I think eating right & exercising is the best way to lose weight and to be healthy, and should become a way of life. By changing my eating habits & working out at curves 3-4 times a week, I lost about 50 pounds in 6 months. I usually eat fruit & some kind of high fiber carbs in the morning (like Kashi cereal or whole grain bread), salads with some kind of protein (seafood or chicken) for lunch, and a lean meat protein and vegetables for dinner. Yogurt, fruits, veggies, maybe pretzels for snacks. I drink a lot of water & take a multi-vitamin everyday. I think it's important to eat like every 3 hours so you never get too hungry and you keep your body fueled and your metabolism up.
Remember, you don't have to eat perfectly, just make more conscious, better choices. You shouldn't go on any diet that isn't possible to sustain for a long period of time, or for life because it's so easy to gain weight back when you stop. Even if you lose weight very slowly, eventually your body will adjust to the weight that is healthy for it. Good luck.

Most people don't realize what "eating right" really means. However it's hard to pinpoint what your mistakes are without seeing a sample diet. Its a good chance that you are eating more than a serving size when you eat, though. You can find information on this and try measuring your food for a week or two so that you get an idea of what a serving size really is.
As for exercise, you can't do the same thing everyday at the same intensity for the same amount of time. You need to keep your muscles guessing. As for cardio, try interval training. It's more effective in weight loss.
Good luck!!!

Cut out all starchy carbs (rice, bread, potatoes, chips and junk). Eat fruit/and or fruit juice before 12:00 pm. Lunch and dinner should include 3-4 ounces of protein ( lean meat, fish, or poultry) A fresh salad with olive oil/ lemon juice and as many fresh vegetables as needed to feel full. Green tea and 8-10 glasses of ICE COLD water( the colder, the better) No sugar, no soda, no dairy and no alcohol allowed Try to eat your dinner by 6:00pm. 5 or 6 walnuts or almonds between meals is OK! Exercise and sleep well! In 2-3 weeks, you will be amazed! You will look great and feel great and want to continue. Your energy will be through the roof! ( BUT, you cannot cheat) If this is what you want, you have to work (a little) Best of luck, you can do it!

if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I used a great website and coach who helped me. They were very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. The website is myhealthabc.com once you fill in your details (you will need to be over 18) then you get a call within a couple of days and they just ask what you would like to lose. There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. There is also a mall area they then you a link to where you can see the full range of products they have, its myhealthabcmall.com. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight, its all nutrition based. They are fun to work with aswell as being serious about helping you lose weight.
I lost all my weight in less than three months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them, the tips you get and encouragement are excellent (their advice and time is FREE). I am still with them so I stay healthy. The owners will advise you on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in less than five months.

You certainly aren't going to lose it over night. There are certain tricks that helped me to lose almost 40 pounds.
1. no eating carbs after around 6-7ish
2. drink lots of water throughout the day
3. get good sleep
4. cut out deserts completely
Other than that put some variety into your workout. If you do the same thing all the time it won't challenge you. Eating properly helps the most, but you have to committed and very disciplined.

It will work. You have to understand too that muscle is heavier than fat. As you build muscle you may gain some weight but as you start to burn off the excise fat, then you will start showing loss. But don't be consumed with weight. If you feel good and if you are in good health...that's where you need to be. You may want to read some of the information on exercise on this site.

My dad was getting allergies, so he went on a special diet and lost 10 pounds in only a month.
I tried it, and I lost 3 pounds in a week and a half.
His diet consists of:
Pears
Apples
Rice milk
Herbal teas
Vegetables
Rice
Fresh Protein (not processed or packaged)
No suger, period
No corn
No wheat
No soy
No dairy
Fish
Chicken
High cocoa Chocolate
Fruit
Chicken
Beans
Nuts (not peanuts)
Vitamin suppliments
Sausages (minimally proccessed, I recommend the Smoked Chipotle Pepper Chicken Sausages by Sausages By Amy, they're a little spicy but delicious)
It sounds boring, but its actually delicious (you can add spices to the foods to give it more flavor,) filling and it works!
Good luck!

If you don't eat, you'll be dead anyway... But if you don't want to change your diet or exercise, then your only option is liposuction / plastic surgery. In any case, your body will just dump that weight back on eventually if you don't do exercise and regulate your diet accordingly. Not a good idea if you want it longterm.

You do have to eat right.. but you do have to eat.. have you tried doing 4-6 small meals instead of 3? Do you ALWAYS eat breakfast? My trainer taught me that I MUST have breakfast and I must fuel my body throughout the day with small meals instead of 3. This coupled with Cardio AND weights helped me to lose weight much easier
Good luck
