Certainly. It's a respectful alternative to Mr. or Mrs. . And it's a lot easier on everyone present when people are respectful to others, and to themselves.

I don't think anyone would be offended by that, and it's certainly an impromvement over the widely used 'Hey Miss!'

The best thing to do is learn thier title and name. This will get you far in school, and in life. I've always called my teachers by name, and it pays off, especially in standard classes where the teacher has to deal with the ambiguous and impersonal 'Hey Miss!'

for example, calling Joe Smith Dr. Smith or Mr. Smith would be ideal.

It depends on the student and the way they were raised. I was raised to use that and at 24 I still do simply because I feel it is a sign of respect. I feel that if more kids were required to show respect to elders they would have more respect for themselves. For me it was a way for me to see how showing respect to others helped me to gain respect from others. In my opinion it is a good idea, but like I said not everybody is raised that way.

that is basically displaying a demonstration of comprehend to an expert or elder determine. It differs between instructors too. I actually have a instructor that calls me Mr. Welsh and that i myself have some instructors that don't care approximately that formality and asked us to call them via their first call.
