Definitely not, dogs can be trained...snakes cant. Also many snakebites, be them poisonous or not can be lethal. Handling these snakes would also be a problem.

snakes are to unpredictable. Even dogs are tricky in some cases. Stick with totally predictable human cops.

Yes, snakes are fast. Unlike dogs snakes can kill someone with a gun instead of just wound them
