I'd say "An evening at the Roman vomitoriums".
(A vomitorium is where they would "purge" after eating a huge meal. It was once fashionable.)

Someone asked to a Shakespeare theme party. It was horrible not only were the costumes hard to find and uncomfortable, everyone was so nervous about spilling/ruining the outfits it was a drag.
