How do I figure a single person, a married person, and for each dependent the amount of federal tax taken from my biweekly pay check.

You should try the IRS website which has the answer!

It's in Publication 15 aka Circular E which lists the federal withholding rates!

The IRS sends out Circular E every year to businesses. It has tax tables to help employers determine the correct amount of federal tax to withhold. There are also formulas that are more complicated listed in the book.

Its to complex to go into here. Talk to a cpa or your payroll dept where you work. I am sure there are tax books on line. That will tell you how. try Google, and US Payroll Tax.

That is not easily answered in this forum. You should get some help. There is a booklet called Circular E. Go to www.irs.gov and search for it.
