My 17th birthday is tomorrow and I have this white bump on the base of my eyelid. I would really like it to go away and not get any bigger. Is there anything I can do to help it heal faster???? PLEASE HELP, things like this make me nervous. I have discovered online that this is called a stye and that all I can do is put warm compresses on it. Umm I took out my contacts and that seems to have helped a little. THANKS...

Happy Birthday!
Grandma says a used teabag (cooled down, of course) over the eye helps.
But remember it looks GIGANTIC to you, because it's right there on your eye. It isn't so noticeable from out here.
Enjoy your birthday, and don't worry about it.

You are doing the right thing, warm compresses will allow you in the morning to open the stye and then you can cover the little spot left with eyeliner or eyeshadow. If it does not work, you will need to go to your doctor, it could be something you will need to take medicine for.

Warm-Hot salt water compress. Don't burn yourself, but make it as hot as you can stand. Soothing and healing. Good luck and happy birthday.

Definately warm/hot compresses. If you have some antibiotic eye drops they would help even more.

boil some water.
plunk 2 tea bags in it.
Pull 1 tea bag out . gently squeeze most of the water out. Apply it to the stye.
When that cools , fish the other tea bag out....same procedure, and apply to stye.
this will help.
