Of course, no Latin American country can compete against Spain, itself. In Latin America, I would say: Peru. The colonial architecture of Lima, Arequipa & Cuzco, the ancient Nazca geoglyphs, the world famous Macho Picchu arquelogical site, Lake Titicaca, Iquitos at the headwaters of the Amazon.

I have to say Colombia. you can choose the weather, and you can be in the snow, or in a desert in hours. there you can find the best coffee ever, beaches, jungles, whatever you wanna do, you can do it in Colombia. cartagena is a beautiful place to go, it i not expensive at all, and I truly recommend it
