The forms are legally required to be sent on or before January 31st (or 30 days after a business closes). Your company's payroll department or payroll processor can tell you when they were mailed. But as a payroll professional of over 12 years, I can tell you that it is very irritating to have half the employees calling to find out when W-2's will be sent out. The more calls they have to answer about that, the less time they have to actually get them out. If the company has your current address, then give it at least a week to arrive.

Contact the place where you worked and are expecting a W2 from. Your employer from 2006 sends out the W2s.
