I use an oatmeal shampoo made for dogs, I get mine at walmart. It makes him a happy dog, and when he isnt so itchy I wash with the oatmeal dog stuff then top of with fruitose whatever it is that gives his hair volume and a nice fruity smell...the fleas love it.

Anything with oatmeal it helps with the dry skin. my mom grooms dogs and i would wash dogs on Saturdays for her. they would use oatmeal shampoo for older dogs or dogs with skin conditions. try it out and see how it works. if problem continues go to a pet store and ask the worker if they have a special shampoo for your dogs problem

I'm not so sure shampoo is the answer for dry skin, it only covers the underlying problem. maybe you should try giving your dog fish oil capsules daily in the food. It moisturises the dog from the inside out, you can get them anywhere and it makes their fur sooooo soft and shiny.

There are some very goo moisturing shampoos out there. I dont know where you are so I dont know if you can get the brands I use. The easiet way is to go to petco or petsmart or what ever chain you have. Most of them have grooming salons. they will be happy to tell you what they use.
