And currently the tickets I'm finding are super high...around 1300...is there a way to find them cheaper? I'm travelling in May coming back in June.

What you have to keep in mind is that from May to September are airlines high season, because everyone wants to travel in the summer, especially to Europe.
I would encourage you to be flexible in your dates, avoid Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and to return within 30 days. Then you would be eligible for a lower fare.

I just got a ticket from Chicago to Seoul for $200 cheaper than travelocity, orbitz, kayak, etc. by using www.airfare.com
Check them out. I've used them often.
