Any idea on why my eyes burn after tearing up?

Everytime my eyes tear up, whether I'm laughing hard, coughing, allergies or crying, my eye start burning. This is getting rather annoying. Any idea why this happens? Eyedrops just make it burn more.

I don't touch my eyes, it happens before I can even wipe my eyes.

Most likely it is chemicals on your skin from either: Makeup, acne, skin creams, etc. etc. It also could be salt from your skin.

Do you wipe your tears with your hands.fingers? You could have a chemical on them, lotion, etc., that is irritating your eyes. When you tear try avoiding touching your eyes, and see if the irritation is coming from make up or a skin cream.
