My Daughter will be a year old on February 24th. I'd like to have her weaned off the breast and formula completly by then. She already drinks from a sippy cup. How do I make the transition to cows milk smooth.

I breast fed all 3 of my sons.

With all 3 I weaned them at there own rate.
I nursed every morning and every night. I gave them a trainer sippy cup during the day. The sippy trainer cup that comes with 2 nipples and one spout attachment. Each nipple lets out more milk flow. that gets them use to the faster flow as a swallow would. Then the last week of weaning I used the spout only.
And they stopped breast feeding after they learned how to run with there sippy cup and found they could not run with my breast lol.
Good luck, And ask your doctor what kind of milk is best your daughter. (1%, 2%, whole or soy) Your doctor will know if you can switch to cows milk or soy better then we can answer here because each child is different on readiness and digestion of cows milk.

You might try mixing a little milk in with the formula and slowly increase the amount of milk until no formula is in the cup. Be careful if there is history of milk allergies in your family. And congratulations on breastfeeding for a year, this is best but many mothers never last that long.
