Fake: They say something they don't truly believe in...or they have no real idea about, just because it seems like it would elicit an approval response from the people they want to be around.
Fake: Act in ways that they truly don't feel comfortable with to be popular, or get approval.
Fake is also superficial.
Imagine a list of questions.
If the way a person answers those questions in public is not the same as the way a person truly feels, or if they answered the questions anonymously...the person is fake.
You could probably guess the way a fake person would answer those questions.
Why fake?
Because a person is insecure, not self confident, and is lacking something serious in their life and has a great need of approval from others that is unhealthy.
So...don't throw the word fake around, it only generates hurt feelings. Have sympathy for fake people and just be yourself around them. They will either come around, and be themselves with you quietly. Or they will either be afraid of you and bad-mouth you behind your back...so what if they do, they are insecure as are the people they are saying it to. But they do this because they are insecure and wish they had the confidence to be themselves so they are jealous.
Fake could also be that they are being manipulative...which is not something to have sympathy for.
We can all be fake at times...depends on what is at stake. I am fake around my boss and pretend to like him at work, but I am a single parent and I'll accept being fake (toward my boss) at a job I dislike that pays the bills to support my daughter.

There are fairly 2 forms of performing: reacting and responding. A reaction is what happens while instinct or habit kicks in. A reaction it what happens while there's a pause until eventually now action in which you mirror. reaction is frequently something to be careful of, via fact it comes without thoughtfulness. Anger is the main dominant damaging reaction, as an occasion. It comes without being asked. Anger is rarely if ever a reaction. Responding then implies accountability, and that's responding which you would be able to prepare. a thank you to coach responding is thru introspection of the climate that provide upward thrust to reaction. in case you already know completely each and each psychological activity that is going into turning out to be a likely "automatic" reaction, you may study to insert a pause on the needed element, and derail negativity until eventually now it happens. it is the needed potential to be discovered.

to look fake is to act or dress in a certain way that doesnt fit who you actually are inside. its like being a poser. (if you are a happy bright sunshiney person, then dont dress like a vampire). usually when someone is acting fake, they are changing things about the way the look or act to impress one person or a group of people. and 98% of the time it is a bad thing to be fake.

fake means not real...so if someone has a fake personality = they dont know how to be themselves, they try to act like something the arent
it can also mean that that person only tries to "please" others just so they will think they are cool or w.e

When someone is "acting fake" it means that they are not being who they really are. They are pretending to be someone, even though they are not. If someone lies to be popular they are a fake because they know they are not popular, they are just trying to fit in. hope i helped.

It basically means that when they're talking to you or telling you something you can tell that they are hiding behind a mask. Maybe they appear overly friendly or overly popular, or something --- but I'm not a judgmental person so I never use the phrase. Who the hell am I to determine if they way a person is acting is their real self? And if they're happy with it, more power to them.

When someone says that, it just means that they're not acting like they usually would. Like, they switch personalities with each person they're with. Like, two-faced, I guess. But that's kinda different. Fake is more like when someone pretends to be someone they're not.

If someone constantly changes no matter who they are around, I view them as fake. I am the same person i.e. personality etc... when I am with everyone at work, play, friends, dates etc... I don't try to change who I am to get people to like me or feel a certain way about me. My thing is either you love me or hate me... either way is up to you.

It means they try to hard to be materialistic, and hot, so they're never their 'real' selves. They try way to hard to fit into what other people think is a good, cool, or sexy person. They want to live up to, and try to be what other people generalize as hot. They don't really show anyone who they really are, or have their own ideas or perspectives. It's what everybody else says, does, or thinks.

Generally speaking you are who you are... Then, you are who you need to be in any given circumstance... Then there are people that just aren't real.. that is, they never let anyone see their real self.. they put on airs, they're usually vary materialistic and just not real people... these characteristics are what is referred to as "fake".
