Most atheists know the answers better having studied religion for most of their lives (for the most part).

Well first of all it's fun. But as a former christian I do know quite a bit about the bible and I enjoy debating religion with others. I am no longer *searching* for meaning to my life. I found it when I became an atheist. Also I want to remind people that this country was not founded on christianity and that we need to keep the religious beliefs away from our laws and out of our government.

Nope...not missing anything. Is it so hard to believe that we are happy and content with our beliefs? Why would I leave christianity for atheism if I thought that I would be missing something by being an atheist? You give too much credibility to your religion. And that's really sad. Maybe you like to ask questions of atheists because maybe you are missing something?

Isn't it odd for bald people to be hanging out ...in the religion category and answer questions that are religious in nature???? It's like they are admitting they are missing something.

It should never be odd to ask questions, especially on topics addressed by religion, which are quite fundamental and thus deserve curiosity and interest from all. Maybe that is (or should be) the key role of religion: asking questions on important things!

No, it's just fun to answer questions here because, unless you failed to notice, there are all sorts of questions here for all sorts of people with all sorts of worldviews, including atheism. Like, for example, the ones about Jesus drinking tea. Why shouldn't an atheist weigh in on that question? It's clearly a joke question, but a fun one. This forum is fun for, and open to, all. I promise not to answer any serious faith-based questions that believers have for each other. That's not my bag, but that's also not why I'm here. I'm here for kicks.

Ohhh yeah... I almost forgot... just as some believers seem to be here on a mission to recruit nonbelievers to their cause, so do skeptics and nonbelievers visit this forum to have intelligent, lively discussion with those open-minded enough to have a debate!
My G*D, what an idea!!

And one last thing: I am getting really tired of being ignored. I am an agnostic, d*** it, and I want recognition as a member of a category of worldview that's separate from atheism. Stop lumping us together - I want my own smallminded, overexcited questions to answer!

They have every right to hang out in the religion category that believers do. There is no law that says religious discussions are only for believers.

Despite what you could think, a lot of atheist people still enjoy talking on the subject of religion, and learn about different people and their ideas about what 'God' is. I find it a little biased for you to say that they are missing out on something, and it really does seem like you are attacking Atheists because they don't have a set belief about any religion.

It is perfectly normal for anyone to talk on any subject, even if they don't believe in something or don't share you thoughts, like religion, or the existence of ghosts, aliens, any subject like that.

If we weren't here, you'd have nobody to argue with, and what fun would that be? How much preaching to the choir can you stand?
Besides, I like tweaking the noses of the self-righteous from time to time. I think other atheists do, too, but they won't admit it. So be prepared for debate. Nobody has all the answers.

yes, odd, but without the odd, we wouldn't know what even was. or conversely, would we count by 2's all the time, just to make everyone happy, and say that every other number was odd anyway, like 10, because its a multiple of five.

What's even wierd is that they are doing the same as a "Christian" would. Trying to convert. Hmmm. Copycat even?

Athiest is just an excuse to do what you want. They've been around since Biblical times anyway, believe it or not, so it's nothing new. And they are missing something. Framing black carboard paper as a picture as a reminder of what their version of the afterlife looks like.

Yeah...it's odd. But maybe their looking for possible doubters as new recruits...ya think? Yep, they are missing a lot and we all know that they are missing God, who is absent from their lives. They have nothing else to give them substance, so they come in here to aggravate us.
