Reptile or a bird but since youre question is about a chicken, the egg hatches to be a chicken the chicken lays an egg and it happens all over again until it becomes my breakfast or lunch!!!

Actually, if you think about what really happens in evolution, most likely the egg came first, or, rather, the embryo inside the egg that developed just a little bit differently from the bird that produced it! The mutation would have to be non-lethal, and there would have to be more than one in the same time period for a new species to emerge. Think about how dog breeders through hundreds of years selected for the animals that turned wolves into Chihuahuas? It did not happen all at once, and neither did the chicken!

in any case the chicken came first see

1) if god created the universe than he created man and all the animals (including the chicken)

2) if darwin was righ and everythin evolved then te chicken again came first as it evolved from a lesser organism.

people make this out like a confusing wuestion but the best way to answer it is ask your self this question

what came first the human or the ova and sperm? obviously there wasnt just an ava and a sperm sitting around that fertilised eachother and incubated somewhere for nine months till a human was created. so there fore the human came first in the same way the chicken came first

what egg are you talking about cause eggs were around centurys before the chicken was so an egg came before the chicken but the chicken came before the chicken egg. a chicken might be a deformed bird from the dinosoar tome period so the egg would be my answer

God created all of us, chickens included, and God included a way for this creation to perpetuate without his direct involvement.
Would you rather do a job once and have it done, or do a job and have to keep repeating the same job over and over??!!!
It's the CHICKEN!!!!...It's the CHICKEN!!!!
Did I mention, it's the CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!!
