I should add that all religions end up at the same goal, but go about getting there a bit differently. So having said that, here are a few things I found handy:

This site is very informative, explains texts and such:

http://www.nandanmenon.com/index.htm

Also, www.krishna.com is very good, but it's more specific to Krishna and Vaishnava beliefs.

Paramahansa Yogananda was a very well known mystic who wrote a book entitled "Autobiography of a Yogi," it's available online, that's a great book to check out.

There is no real ritual to convert to Hinduism, just so you know.

Hope this helps!

That’s a great choice as Hinduism gives a very deep understanding of life. However, you can now find all the mythological references in their ancient scriptures brought to life thanks to an Indian Lady known as Sri Mataji Nirmal Devi. Shri Mataji explains that before studying the Hindu religion it is best to take your “Self-Realisation” in the first instance, as this will allow you to feel on your own central nervous system whether what has been written or told to you is the truth. (You become your own Master). Shri Mataji explains that you should feel a cool breeze from your hands and from your head when something is true. (Hence our expression from the unconscious “it’s cool” when something feels OK).

Shri Mataji also gives a full understanding on Meditation which leads to your development in Yoga. Meditation is only attainable after self realisation and is the only discipline that will allow you to go beyond the mind. In this state your mind is completely at rest, without any thought processes (Nirvircha Samahi) and when this occurs you are in Yoga.

Yoga is therefore a state of being (Not meaningless exercises as practiced in the West). A person in this state has entered the fourth dimension and is no longer subject to normal human conditions and as one progresses a deeper understanding evolves and enables you to guide others.

The most important factor is that this knowledge cannot be paid for. All of this great Lady’s teachings are available free of charge and is known as Sahaja Yoga. Sahaja simply means “born with” or spontaneous and Yoga means Union. The union is of the individual soul with the all pervading power that has created everything (God).

I’ve just started a meditation group on Yahoo you are more than welcome to join and I’ll tailor a regime for you to try out until you establish yourself. http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/how2meditate

Kind regards

Sean

Read Bhagwat Gita or hear a audio version at Krishna.com.
Do as it is said in it. You will be hindu.
If you want to know more, ask some hindu people around. Each person will worship god in his own way and to his own image ( there are many images of one and only god, in hinduism), of god.
You need not do exactly what others do. However just follow Bhagwat gita, it says most of hinduism. If you find it hard to follow, take it slowly and try your best and what you think make sense to you.
