I believe admission to hospital its likely to happen, as a constant headache which doesn't go away does mean there is likely complications.
But don't take it as something negative, just go for a regular check up and the source of the headache will be known. Also remind the doctor that you had tried taking the above mentioned pain killers.
I cannot provide answers to ur question based on what you describe, as there are many causes of these type of headache.
Example like internal trauma to the head, a emboli pressuring on your nerves. Edema in the brain (not to sure about this), causing pressure on the nerves (also potentially dangerous).
Going to the doctor is the best way.
Good luck and God bless

Any headache which is minor to moderate, not accompanied by other signs or symptoms, and responds with home therapies within a couple of hours may well not need to have further assessment or testing, especially if it's occurred in previous times. A anxiety headache shows zero abnormal information using a neurological test. However, soft points in the muscular tissues will often be affecting the neck and shoulder areas. The health care provider need to be consulted, to rule out some other disorders that causes head ache, if the headache is actually major, persistent i.e. is unable to vanish entirely), or if other signs and symptoms exist together with the headache. Severe headaches that will interrupt sleep, show up when active, or which are repeated might require evaluation plus treatment by a health care provider.

It sounds like you are experiencing a couple different kinds of headaches. The neck stiffness is generally caused by tension headaches. You also seem to have migraine headaches because of the dizziness and nausea. I used to suffer horrible headaches from elementary school until I had sinus surgery. It stopped my headaches by 90% I have not had one migraine since and only a couple regular headaces. See a doc and ask if that would work for you. It was the single best thing I ever did for myself. Good luck.

Try this sounds like your syptoms
First or Worst and Thunderclap Headaches
The term first or worst refers to severe headache of a type the patient has never experienced before, which may be the first episode of a primary headache such as migraine or cluster or to the worst headache the patient has ever had, which can be caused by numerous primary and secondary disorders.5
Headache in Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Headache is present in 90% of cases of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).62 The classic headache is sudden, severe, and continuous, often with nausea, vomiting, meningismus, focal neurologic findings, and loss of consciousness.
Thunderclap Headache
A sudden severe headache with maximal onset within 1 minute without evidence of SAH is termed a thunderclap headache.63 A small percentage of patients with thunderclap headache will have unruptured aneurysms, cerebral vasospasm, cerebral venous thrombosis, carotid artery or vertebral artery dissections, pituitary apoplexy, occipital neuralgia, and possibly Erve virus. Most cases of thunderclap headache are primary disorders: benign thunderclap headache, so-called crash migraine, and benign orgasmic headache.

Most of what you said does sound like migraine. However, the stiff neck you mentioned could be a concern as that is not usually a migraine symptom. I would really suggest going to an urgent care clinic. They can rule out anything that needs immediate attention and if it is a severe migraine, they could give you an Imitrex shot or something that would help you feel better.

That's no fun!
Yes, you probably will have to get further testing or even be admitted to the hospital. At the very least, it sounds like a migraine.
Try sipping tea with ginger in it: At least it will hydrate you and maybe settle your stomach. Once you are sure you can keep things down, drink more water: Headaches are often associated with dehydration. I just had to shake one myself and that's what it took.
I hesitate to say more without knowing what is going on.
Good luck!

I don't mean to scare you but I had a friend that went to the Emergency Room with your same symptoms. He was sure it was just one of his regular old migraines other than the fact that the pain was much more intense. In ER, they gave him pain meds and sent him home to rest. He died in his sleep that night of a brain aneurysm. He was only 27. Don't let the medics blow it off as a headache. You need a CT Scan done right away. I wouldn't recommend waiting til the dr's appt. Be Safe.

have you tried getting your blood pressure? If you have constant headache, you probably have a High blood pressure. And usually the symptoms that you mentioned are caused by hi-bp. Sometimes if your bp is normal and you ignore your headache, your bp will automatically rise. You better see a doctor have him check your heart. You also need to have your blood test so that you would know if you have a high cholesterol because cholesterol blocks arteries and causes your heart to pump harder...and that's when high blood pressure starts.

Alot of the symptoms you describe say "migraine".But everything you have ,stiff neck, sore jaw, blackness, dizzy; these are all things you get from stress and tension which will trigger a migraine. Migraine's can last for day's.But there are many medications out there that the Dr. can give you. Imitrex,Relpax,Topamax and many others depending on you and your Dr.
