I do not believe Jesus is God.

God is God.

Therefore I have never asked Jesus to 'save' me. What is it I am supposed to be saved from anyhow?

Jesus is God's son, Jesus and God are one in the same.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eteranl life John 3:16

Romans 10:9: If you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Jesus is not God. They are two separate entities.

Jesus is God reincarnate, but not God himself. Therefore they are two seperate beings.

Why ask the created to save "me"?

Jesus is the Messiah, the son of God.

Since when does Jesus have to BE GOD to be worthy of prayer and praise?

One should pray to God and ask for salvation from Him. But Jesus is a Mirror of God, so we can see God in Him and communicate to God through Him, even though He is not God.

Jesus is not Created, He is the Creator as well as the Father. There are three persons in God, and the Son existed with the Father before time began. It is in His Image that we are created. He is believed to have assisted Adam and Eve after the fall, by bringing them animal skins to wear. He is also Christ present in bringing water fom the rock in the Exodus, and many other passages in the Old Testament (implicitly) as well as the New Testament (explicitly). The Nicene Creed written in a Council around 325 AD describes him this way:

We believe (I believe) in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, and born of the Father before all ages. (God of God) light of light, true God of true God. Begotten not made, consubstantial to the Father, by whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven. And was incarnate of the Holy Ghost and of the Virgin Mary and was made man; was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered and was buried; and the third day rose again according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, of whose Kingdom there shall be no end. And (I believe) in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father (and the Son), who together with the Father and the Son is to be adored and glorified, who spoke by the Prophets. And one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We confess (I confess) one baptism for the remission of sins. And we look for (I look for) the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen."

Here in Matthew, we see Jesus re-entering Creation as the Lord
who made all things unto the Father.

3:16. And Jesus being baptized, forthwith came out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened to him: and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him.
3:17. And behold a voice from heaven saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Because God is pure, Ask Jesus because He lived on this earth and died for our sins. Jesus is God's son, God hears what we all ask and He decides who is saved and who is not.

Jesus is not God, but like all of us, a very small piece of God. I've never had to ask for saving.
