But it's still a great question, I don't care how tired you are. My answer is Eddie who is my life partner whom I met when I was sixteen. He and I have been together for forty-seven years. He is 85 now and I am 63. It's his arms that I move into when I am deeply upset and I feel lilke I am in a little tiny boat on a great big ocean. I know you know the feeling. And when he has his hands full, he comes to me and I hug him like there's no tomorrow. When he emerges in our kitchen each morning around ten to eight, we have this ritual - he can't do anything until we hug. That is the rule. That is how he starts out every morning in our home. As he walks through the kitchen door I say "Hug!" It makes a great way to begin our day together. It hardly seems possible he and I have been together for forty-seven years. We have two cats who take wonderful care of us. Eddie's arms are the ones that calm this guy down and I am obviously a bundle of nerves and fears if you read between the lines, so you just know he's very good at what he does! Thanks for posting your question, because it has given me the opportunity to tell you about us. Nothing soppy about it, here. It is the fuel and strength of what we live on! Best to you from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A.

I think I understand the feelings you are having right now. Sometiimes I get kinda stressed and scared and feel I need a "safe place". I have a "boyfriend" if that's what you call a 58 year old man. He is kind, considerate, and a rock to me. I know when he holds me everything will be ok. He may not be a "stud" or the most handsome man in the universe but he is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Well you got me here....

In the real world my lovely big strong man who i know will always protect me from harm...

BUT after my father died i have always felt his presence around me and his arms will always hold me safe....

Can i be greedy and have both? That way I'm always safe from harm!

My mom. Hahaha. Nothing beats like a good mother-ly love. And hey now some of us are lonely b-aster who love our mom dearly. Or just geeks. Either one works.

I would have no one to trust but myself. In my last moments I would be thinking of you.

You shouldnt think of all the problems that torment you. Try to think of all the good moments. This happens to many people, I know how you feel. Ive felt this before, try to ignore all the bad things that surround you. THINK POSITIVE IT WILL BE ALRIGHT
