I'm compulsive about most of my house, just where my baby can get to and where family & friends can see when they come in. The rest of the house, my bedroom, extra bedroom.... is a BIG mess!
Both my parents and grandparents are very compulsive about cleaning.

My family is for the most part lazy. But my grand mother is a compulsive cleaner. She used to clean her house before the house keeper that she paid to come once a week came to clean. I like to keep my house clean though, because when I was growing up, my mom didn't beleive in house keeping.

No, but if the compulsive cleaners in your family are looking for something to do, they can come clean my house.

None of us are compulsive - but my sister is anti-compulsive. She let's her house go until I am embarrassed for her! I had to clean the kitchen counters just to make room to make lunch for the kids when I was watching them one time. It's awful. I use to be like that! I have finally come around to normal, I think. Not compulsive - but not disgusting, either.

In many families, that is what helps create cumpusion. Moms tell there kids, do you want your house to look like aunt sue's? Well you better keep your room clean.
My mom stopped housecleaning after my dad divorced her, and it was a huge strain on me seenig the house go, i tried, but after so many years, and my brothers unwillingness to help, I moved out. It went straight to hell. And now i cannot stand it, and am quite compulsive about it, and it makes me very unhappy. But then I just turn on the tv, and let it go. lol

I do...my aunt on my mothers side always did my dishes when she came over...which is nice because I work a full time job (some days up to 16 hours) 7 days a week but only seasonal. I have 2 kids and a husband but we appreciate her help even when she hasn't been asked to do it...she is just very thoughtful that way. I miss her now because I am laid off and she went to go and live with her daughter and I have to do my own dishes... :(

I used to be, but I'm not now. I wish that when I was younger with precious young children that I had spent less time on cleaning the house and more time in the floor and outdoors with my children. I tried to hard to be SUPER MILITARY MOM. Every one turned out fine, all 5 grown now and happily married.
My husband and I have been blessed beyond words.

I have family that gets so mad the the mess doesn't bug me. Compulsive cleaning isn't genetic, it is apart of your personality.
