I need rediagnosis and intensive therapy, I think. Basically I need a new approach and outlook that accounts for the whole problem I am dealing with. I am very unhappy but feel I am extremely capable if I can get my mental health under control. Problems contributing to my inability to cope with life may be - bi-polar, ADHD, Anxiety and Seasonal complications and very poor habits and poor coping skills.

Hi,

Im sorry to hear that you have been suffering. Like you I thought I had ADD, and a whole bunch of other mental issues. Have you ever had your Thyroid tested?

My problems have stemmed from my Thyroid to include Depression and Anxiety. I have been taking Synthroid (Thyroid medication for years) it only made me sleepy and for the most part did not work. About a month a go I was put on a different type of medication for my Thyroid and it worked, the only down side was that I was allergic to it. So I was placed on a different type of medication and I am doing very well on it.

By the way I have been on all of the SSRI's and they never worked for me. Over a period of time I would get more depressed so I stopped taking them (with my doctor's permission).

I am not a professional therapist but do have alot of back ground in this area and have a lot of resorses I can pass on to you. Please feel free to contact me if you like. My IM is D_Heyman1 I would be more than happy to try to help if you like.

How is your sleep? Do you sleep o.k. or do you wake yourself up because of snoring? Has anyone ever told you you stop breathing in the middle of the night? Have your ever had a sleep study done? I have mild sleep Apnea and do the above a little.

Im going to go. Contact me if you like. I hate to hear of anyone suffering. I wish you the best. Don't give up there is hope out there.

Try and understand that this is still a social disorder and the illness related do follow. Any healing requires the illness to be stopped but the social disorder needs to be changed too or no recovery is possible. At some time you need to be off meds and managing your emotions by managing your aura. That is the coping skills we all use with results.

Have you just gone to therapists, or have you have gone to a psychiatrist (medical doctor)? If you haven't been evaluated by a psychiatrist or other medical doctor, it might be a good idea to do so. Therapists can help too, but you really have one of those disorders you'll probably need medication, and you'll have to go to a medical doctor for that.
