By sore I mean like really sore.

I have to carry around a heavy load a long way pretty much every day, and also pretty much every day I go swimming.

When I swim, I don't even kick that much, but when I do, I feel very sore

I stretch enough, don't worry

What can I do?

Use a heating pad, some motrin, try a warm bath. Try and take it easy for a little while, you could be putting to much stress on the muscles and not giving them sufficient time to recover from a workout. when you do workout make sure you eat the right food to give your body what it needs to recover. repeating an exercise to many times without rest could fatigue the muscles and cause greater problems. try taking a day off in between and work something other than your legs.

If taking some time off doesn't work definitely consult your PCP as there could be other problems.

You're muscles are strained maybe. ANd carrying that heavy load is probably doing a number on your back and legs.

Listen to the song "The Weight" by The Band :) I hope you feel better BTW

Drink plenty of water. Take B 12 and B complex of vitamins.
Eat foods high in potassium. Grapefruits and bannanas.

Rest with legs elevated. Walk and kick from the hips, this will evenly distrubute your energy.

Epsom salt in hot water in a bath...It will get rid of the soreness..You might want to slow down on the swimming..Just until your muscles get use to it..Good luck

1st drink some Orange Juice then get some complex carbs and protein like granola and tuna fish, maybe a banana too. Then stretch those muscles.

Stretch, more than you really need to, and if your legs are sore, rest them for a while and ice them. Its the cure for most soreness related issues.

also, take whatever you take for a headache.

Eat more bananas for potassium, drink lots of water and keep doing what your doing. If it's from doing exercise then keep doing it and you will eventually get str ong enough so that you are not sore.

Immediatly consult a doctor. And quit swimming. And try to rest your legs as much as possible. And take pain killers.
