Can someone give me their honest opinion of this world? Each day you hear about all kinds of depressing and horrible things.I use to look at the news but i find it more and more difficult. There are so many problems and hard struggles people have to endure each day. You pray about it but it doesnt seem to help any. Is there any one else out there fed up living in a world where there's illness, famine, killing, stealing, dishonesty, unrighteousness, prostitution, disrespect, power hungry, money hungry, unlawfullness, uncleanliness, jealousy, hatred, different religions, and so on..Am i the only one that feels this way?Give me your view on this world.. thanks

I do think many of us are fed up with whats happening in our world, I have found some peace where I live in the country, I do live quite a tranquil life today because I refuse to listen to all the terrible things that are happening out there in the world, I have simply found my own world to live in because we will never change our present societies dilemma, It is so full of corruption, hatred, violence, and discrimination that I simply want nothing to do with, it's surly a world gone vary mad.

The problem is everyone gets so easily focused on the negative you rarely hear about the good things that also go on. People die every day, there are also many born every day. Choose to be positive and share positive actions. Take a moment to hold a door for someone. Find small things to do to help complete strangers out. Don't dwell on how disgusting and horrible the world is. Instead find small ways to make it better. You'll be happier and will bring a little sunshine to someone else's day as well.

It's going to get worse before it gets better, and I'm not even sure if it will ever get better. The world has always faced problems, but with new countries joining the nuclear club, and terrorists gaining access to more technologically advanced weapons there has never been a chance for global outbreak as there is now.
I just live my life, I change what I can. I help people, I volunteer a large part of my time to help people in countries who need help. If your a United States citizen, you can help by petitioning and voting. We can not keep up the policies we have no and expect to make progress on many of the problems we face today.

To quote Desiderata, "For all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."
Find what makes you happy in your own life. Get rid of what doesn't. It can take years to do that, but its worth the mental clarity and sense of peace it gives you.
Don't get your knowledge from the evening news. The media focuses on the negative, and the government is all about fear-mongering right now. Do some reading, and discover new things. It's hard to be depressed after reading a Carl Sagan book. Life is not always easy, but when you consider the good fortune you have had to be here, at this time, to be existent and standing on this planet, in this amazing universe, it puts things into perspective. We're only tiny specks, but each speck has the potential to lead a peaceful, fulfilling life, you just have to work at it. Life isn't something that happens to you, it's something you live, so enjoy the ride, because it's so very brief.

The devil sees to it he gets a lot of coverage for his dirty work. That way it seems like he is doing a lot more than he is. There is about ten times more good being done in the world than the evil but it doesn't make for sensational news so the networks aren't always interested in it. Some of the talk shows have no trouble finding good news stories to air. Why is that? Because there are plenty of them and the news media doesn't go looking for them.
Stop reading the bad news and start reading the GOOD NEWS. Your bible. That should bring you some peace of mind to know there is a better world awaiting all those whe are willing to allow God to work within their hearts....

You want an honest answer? Get off your *** and go do something about it. Make a difference in someone else's life. Help somebody. Do volunteer work, help the poor, the disabled, whatever. Do SOMETHING. YOU have to change the world, and the only way to do it is one person at a time. Help one person every day and justify your place on planet earth instead of excpecting someone else to do it.

Start with yourself by making yourself a positive influence in life. Then spread that around you. Prayer isn't working for you, so try meditation. Buddhism may be more for you than another kind of religion. Do you notice that not one Christian has come in here to help you? It's the Athiests and Buddhists who are reaching out to you. Think about that for a while.

Without the bad we cannot truly appreciate the good. Don't waste your time praying, no one is listening. It's time to stop hoping for a miracle from God and start actively helping to make the world a better place. There are so many things you can do to feel like you're making a difference.

Oh my, any good thinker should come to this at one time, first of all congrats for being intelligent to think about stuff like this. Yes it is depressing, i suppose just try to help the world, be nice, generous, donate to stuff. But dont become emo, still love the world, i get annoyed at these things too, but i certainly enjoy the opposite of those things, which also exist in this world.

The sad thing is this is what media and propaganda sell you. I wish someone would watch the telveision and show how many sad/horrible stories there are vs happy stories. The numbers would shouck you. Good things do happen in the world, but do not let your local or national tv station know this
