I was wondering what other women out there are doing to get pregnant. Whats YOUR story of success?
Any words of wisedom?

With my first son, we had the ovulation predictors, charts, everything you could think of. We didn't get pregnant until we gave up and relaxed. When I was doing all that stuff, it took the fun out of our marriage and caused tons of stress. Now we're trying again, I do take herbs and vitamins-but I'm not worrying about it like before. I've got a beautiful son and if I'm meant to have more children-I will have more!

We have been trying for 6 years. We tried everything from ovulation predictor test every single day, checking bbt, trying different positions, and anything we could possibly think of. I know that it seems kind of redundant. We went to a fertility specialist and they said nothing was wrong. We finally got to the point of giving up and decided to take the adoption route. We had saved up alot of money for our child. Anyway, a month later we found out we were pregnant. I had lost 75 pounds and quit smoking. I thought I would not have nearly as hard of a time quitting smoking if I quit before pregnancy. I have hypothyroidism and lost weight as soon as my thyroid hormones balanced out. Of course, we still plan on adopting when our child is a little older, but we ended up getting pregnant when we both thought we couldn't get pregnant. I guess, we didn't realize how much pressure it was putting on both of us. I guess we just started having fun and we tried so many different positions and new positions. We seemed to just put so much pressure on ourselves. It's not that we didn't enjoy each other, it was just that we were both putting alot of pressure on ourselves. And when we stopped it was pressured. As I said we will still adopt, but when our child is older we will adopt. Don't give up, and anyone who tells you it's easy to just relax, may not know how hard it is to do. I hope things work out for you. Have fun and enjoy. My husband and I tried for 10 months without success even though we both checked out fine so we went to a fertility specialist. I did hormone injections then had Artificial Insemination done. I got pregnant right away!

Seriously? Don't think I'm crazy, but this worked for me and THREE of my friends.
We did it missionary style, then I layed on the bed on my back with my knees tucked into my chest for 10 minutes (I know...great visual, huh?). I heard about it from a friend of mine and it actually worked. Now, it could be a fluke, but three of my recently pregnant friends all said they did the same thing (while their husbands had to leave the room because they were laughing so hard).
Anyway...I tried it....it worked...I have a beautiful, healthy 5 mo. old now. Give it a try...the worst it could do is make your husband laugh hard enough to cry.

with my first child we got preg. on the 1st or 2nd try. I gained almost 50lbs and never lost any of it. my hubby and i were both tested for fertility problems, we both didn't have any. i went on clomid for 6 months and miscarried from it. it was making me ovulate when i don't normally do(i get preg. the last day of my period) so it was screwing with my eggs. it's been a year since then and i lost 20lbs and got pregnant immedietly. i guess my body just couldn't get preg. with the extra weight! took 2 1/2 years, but it's worth it so far!
