He allowed Himself to die, so that you would have a chance to believe in Him. If all the historical, and Biblical evidence is not enough...then you have to meet some true believers in the Way. To know Him is to love Him...God's ways are foolishness to the ways of mankind (human kind), and the foolishness of God is so far above the wisest of human thought. He allowed Himself to die to pay the ransom...to buy back our right to connection with God. If He didn't do it, our world would have ended itself long ago. He did it, to save us, and to show the rest of the inhabitants in the Universes that He is truly a God of love, not the evil torturous deity that Satan wants the world to see.

We believe that Jesus' death was the necessary atonement for the sins of mankind.
Many clinical, historical studies have been made that try to give a more scientific description of Jesus' death. There is still some debate as to the cause of death, but it is the most often said that asphyxiation was the ultimate cause: the position of the body suspended on the cross constricts the thorax, making it difficult for the lungs to take in sufficient oxygen. In the case of Jesus, prior torture could have cause internal bleeding and the presence of blood and other fluid on the lungs, swiftening an otherwise more prolonged asphyxiation. This hypothesis could explain the citation of John that, after Jesus' side was pierced with a spear, blood and water flowed from the wound.

Yes, Jesus as God died, it is called a Deicide. Because the LordJesus is the only pure lamb of God and the High Priest, who can offer us the divine nature and image of God restored in our souls through Communion with Him. When He died He rose again to restore nature to God, and opened a passage to heaven from the abode of the dead. All of Creation now cries out once again for the Savior due to the role that evil has played in these times, to undo the work of Creation and the Father, Creator.

You believe whatever you like...Jesus accepted a physical death on behalf of sinners like you & me so that we could be purified of our sins before almighty God.He accepted the decision of the Father to endure the pain ,humiliation , suffering & finally death
so that we could be given new life in God's sight. Don't forget , though his body died on the cross , that is not the end of the story as he rose from his grave , conquered the death brought upon the human race by the fall of Adam & now lives with the Father.

First Jesus was and is not God he is the Son of God and the word of God.
He was not killed he gave up the Ghost as the word says and went to the lower parts of the earth for 3 days and night to give all men a chance of salvation, after the thrid day he asended into heaven and is Lord of Lord and King of kings.
His obedeince to God is how he became (one in whom God was well pleased ) Lord of heaven and eath.
The romans took him and with the blessigns of the Jews they hung hm on a cross.

Jesus came to earth fully human - and fully God. He lived in His humanity and did not access any of His Divine attributes while on earth. He died a man. The reason He could resurrect was because He was also God. Death is not a cessation of existence. His soul went to hell to conclude the sacrifice and then over to the paradise compartment to "set the captives free." The God part of Him never ceased to exist. That is why He was the only one who was ever resurrected - never to die again.

Hesus was not God, He was the physical representation of God, an ambassitor sort of. He died because God gave Him up so that our sins could be cleansed. Jesus died as a man, but His spirit is still with God.

He prophesied that He would die, so He was aware about it before it happened. It doesn't count as a failure of any kind.
Prophets were often killed in Old Testament times. Prophets are flesh and blood. They can die too.
Your answer suggest that you have a Muslim understanding. The Qur'an says that He was not killed, but they had His likeness. What is His likeness and what is death? In reality, one cannot kill Jesus, because He lives eternally. The Qur'an is just emphasing this point. The "likeness" is just His body. In other words, the Qur'an is saying that although the body of Jesus was killed, He truly lives in spirit. Yes, His Body was crucified, but not His reality. So Islam doesn't really deny the crucifixion.

Jesus died so that our sins may be forgiven and we may go to Heaven. If you really want to learn more about Jesus read the Bible. I have read other religions holy books, and I realize that not everyone believes that, but but that is why faith is a personal choice.

The physical body died. The soul/spirit did not. (This applies whether or not one believes Jesus was God.)
