If are you refering to the holographic Helio monitors from IO2 http://www.io2technology.com/salesinquiry.htm they have been out for quite a few years without gaining any kind of serious interest from the public.
I can see this technology being utilized in niche markets, perhaps in the millitary industrial sector, but overall I don't see it as being something which is practical for the average consumer, and for that matter even in these niche markets when you already have virtual reality which is far more practical.
As for that whole notion of these holographic images getting a mind of their own i.e., the terminator scenario, just remember your secret weapon, don't pay the electricity bill. By the way have you ever considered going Amish, no worries about technology, the only thing you have to worry about is keeping the beard hair out of the butter churner.

Holographic images arent the future, The future is virtual reality.. And the images cannot get a mind of their own because they will be from a preorder scene on a movie disc or something... Unless a sentient computer is build then it will have a mind of its own..

hmmmmmmmm well i cant say for sure. they do have

holograms but they don't move and take a lot of work to make. so

I'm not sure. the ones in the future may move and may have

artificial intelligence but i don't think they will be able to kill or hurt

us in any way.
