I've heard that Rev. 1:10 in particular is a reference to the Sabbath or Sunday worship. The problem is... just doing a search through the scriptures myself, I can't find any biblical reference that connects the "Lords Day," with Sunday (or Sabbath, depending on ur view on what scriptures say about what day believers should do no work on). In fact, I've only found 1 scripture in the entire bible, based on a quick search in BibleGateway, that uses the phrase "the Lord's Day." That scripture is Revelation 1:10.

Furthermore, I've recently heard that "The Lord's Day," and "The Day of the Lord," are two separate events. I can't find any biblical reference that says "The Lords Day," and "Day of the Lord," r 2 different events.

What I have been able to find in scripture regarding both "the Lord's Day," and the "Day of the Lord," is that both have to do with God's wrath, vengeance, judgment, anger, destruction, that it's reserved for evil doers, that it comes unexpectedly like a thief in the night to those in darkness, and that it can be avoided if we genuinely turn to God. LAMENTATIONS 2:22, ZEPhaniah 1:7, 14-15, 18, Zephaniah 2:2-3, Isaiah 2:12, Isaiah 13:6, Isaiah 34:8, Joel 1:15, Joel 2:1, 11-12, 31, and 1 Thessalonians 5:2. I know that there are a lot of scriptures here but, all of them have the "Day of the Lord" in them and they talk about God's wrath and destruction, and not the sabbath.

Rev.1:10 and 2Peter 3:12 is talked about in these sites:
(tons of information that includes other scriptures that pertain to the above texts)

It talks about Jesus coming; look at these texts:
Revelation 6:16-17 = "And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand."
A Day for a Year
The Day of the Lord is the year preceding the return of Christ! Isaiah made this plain. "For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, the year of recompense for the cause of Zion" (Isaiah 34:8).
When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets" (Revelation 8:1-2).
Zechariah 14; Isaiah 2 &11 & 13:1-14 & Ch.24; Jeremiah 4:19; 5:10,18; 25:27-38; 30:22-24; (Jer.51 & Rev.16:19; 17:4-5,16; 18:4; 19:11 = Judgement against Babylon).
"Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete" (Revelation 15:1).
Revelation 20:6 = "...but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
Dan.7:27 and Rev.5:10 = a thousand years on earth being kings and priests.
Matt. 5:3,5,8,10; Psalms 23:27-28; 37:9-11; 69:35; 76; 115:16; 134:21
