How to create a fan video?

I am trying to create a fan video of a show, but i have two questions. One, how do i get the episodes from my DVDs to the computer? and two, whats the best program to use to make the video? Any help, that would be great!

You need ChopperXP, it will allow you to extract portions of VOB files from a DVD. It creates new VOB files, but rename them as MPG.

Now, rented videos and store-bought videos are protected, and you need to have ANYDVD installed to do the ChopperXP.

You need editing software, like Ulead MediaStudio Pro, to put the whole video project together.
