Tell him that you need him to take you to your dance. Something along the lines of, "There is this dance coming up and I can't think of anyone I would rather go with. What do you say?"
If he is spending as much time as you say texting you he will say yes, guaranteed. If you put it the way I did it will also give the advantage of being both flattering and not being too cheesy. It is a great way of sidestepping any weirdness.
Wait til you get to the dance and you will notice that you won't be the only couple with the women taller than the guy. A lot of attractive men are shorter than a lot of attractive women. No one cares.

To hell with being self conscious. If you like this fella and he appears to be fond of you then in my opinion I say go for it. Providing you both have the same size of heart isn't that the most important. I am in a wheelchair so this makes my fiance a lot taller then me, and it doesn't bother either of us. Affection is not measured in inches.

Girl, don't even worry about it. If he is cool with it, you should be too. Men love tall beautiful women! I know, I'm 5'10'' and tons of guys approach me...taller ones, ones that are the same height, and shorter ones...it's all good. Just have fun at your formal with the guy and don't be concerned about the height difference.

Why be self conscious when if he likes you and you like him, who cares what the world says or thinks It doesn't matter if your taller than he is, just think how he will feel when your dancing close to you or just hugging you. SO ask him out and don't worry, you might ahve the best time in the world and enjoy it all.

hey if the difference were 3 or 4 inches ok..1 inch is not a difference plus if he qualify the rest of your standards you should give him a chance besides you are tall..you are still young and some guys take longer to develop he is 18? men grow till they are 22 woman till 18 and a little bit after they have their 1st baby.. tell him to play basketball, give him a kiss and ask him to go with you.//

i'm continually the main fascinated in fairly petite females. My eye certainly is going to the main petite females interior the room. Very petite females purely seem much extra female to me. per risk i'm previous formed, yet i admire the classic manly guy/female woman mixture the place a guy protects his woman, opens doorways, continually walks on the line area of the sidewalk. i'm continually thinking concerning the convenience and protection of the lady i'm with. And the extra petite she is, the extra protection she needs. i admire that. this would not recommend that I see petite females as "vulnerable".

height definitley does not matter, if you like him ask him and if you feel a little self-conscious ask him if he doesn't mind wearing a pair of shoes with thicker souls on them. don't let some thing so small get in the way of being happy.
