1.) Diet of less meat (beef, pork, any fatty meats) and stick to more fish and vegetables and some chicken.
2.) Drink 6-8 glasses of WATER a day
3.) Refrain from drinking sodas and eating empty calorie foods (snack bars). You can replace these with freshly-squeezed juices and fruits that you like.
4.) Go for a walk every morning for at least 30 minutes. Also you can do some light exercises (stretching, calisthenics, etc. But if you like dancing, then play that music and dance!)

1. Daily Nutrition:
Eat a breakfast high in protein, vitamins, and minerals, and low in carbs and fat. I use Instant breakfast, you can eat cereal or whatever accomplishes this for you.
Between breakfast and lunch, snack frequently on something healthy. High protein, low in calories (protein is good at limiting hunger and provides lasting energy). I always carry a bag of almonds, or a couple granola bars with me. This will help keep your metabolism high, and your blood sugar constant.
For lunch, think small. Have SMALL quantities of lean meats, lowfat dairy products.
Until dinner, continue snacking. Between the time I get home and the time for dinner, I like to drink skim milk, though you can eat whatever healthy snacks you want.
For dinner, just make sure it isn't that large, just enough to eliminate your hunger. I think small is best because it's best to have a satisfying dinner, and that tends to mean fat & carbs.
2. Daily Excercise:
If your only goal is to lose 14 lbs, you're going to want to walk/run alot, everyday, as fast as you can for as long as you can. The most important thing is that you get your heartrate up.
14 lbs is an awful lot of weight to lose in 1 month, so you'll either have to walk/run alot, or starve yourself. I think excercise beats starvation any day.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

Exercise. The only way to lose weight is to put out more energy than you take in. Just do more, whether it is exercising, working, etc.
