Well, it's simple. Why would God give you a list for you to follow when His religions in general are not followed by many? (although there are countless rules and obligations that are constantly not followed or being twisted to extremism). People have differents lists on their mind and they can never be the same. So maybe you as an individual, can go out there, search for knowledge--and make your own list from it!

The irony is that if God gave everyone a list, people would start complaining it's oppression. And when he doesn't, then people can go say that He doesn't exist or some other reason.

Also, if God gave you a list, where are the experiences you get out of life? If you knew that you would go to Heaven or Hell, going to do this or that in your life--then basically you know Fate (which, according to many religions, is only attributed to God Himself and not humans like fortune tellers)

He always does but one thing or many is all the same to most people. They have their own agendas. Lets take the most famous ones Cain, considered by most people the son of the devil himself. He told the first lie to God killed the first man, wait no he did just like his father the Devil, no wait that was the Serpent, that Old Dragon? Father and son but look how God saw he was not getting it and came to him with these words; Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
If you are not sure the Him there was his desires to be accepted by God same question as you are speaking of here.
Now in the End he had no desire to do anything else because he came with the wrong attituide Gen.4: 5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. He was still beating himself for being wrong(this is called self pity) This was also why Judas Iscarot hung himself, Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
See Judas understood what good is this money when I have betrayed the Lord so he killed himself.
You want a list I have it for you according to the Bible; the Lord your God is ONE, not a trinity of three in ONE oil, Love him with all you know how to do.Be unto others as you would have them do to you!!!! Oh I forgot be kind unto others and treat them how you want to be treated always and not just the ones kind to you, or the ones inside your church. If you want more things to do then be born again of water and spirit(fire) take communion and foot washing as part of that. The water is Baptism, emersted into a pool of water according to Acts 2:38 and the fire or spirit is pray God give you the Holy Spirit and NOT speaking in tongues but speaking in tongues is possible.
That is really all there is and there is NO more according to the Bible.
Now if you still need more to not offend Jew, don't eat blood and meat sacrificed to Idols.

A good rule of thumb is to remember what it was that Jesus said, "If you love me then keep my commandments." what are His commandments? To love one another. If you love one another you will always follows Gods will to a tee. You can't go wrong. However, it's not all a walk in the roses. there will be times when you don't feel like loving people. you'll be tossed to and fro like a boat on stormy seas. but don't give up and trust in the Lord and He'll walk on the water for you too. YOU just need the faith to come out of the boat (in faith) and come to Him too!

Follow your own heart, and when you feel what you are doing is right then you will know. Nobody is given a blow-by-blow rundown of their lives, it'd take the fun out of living.
It doesn't really matter what faith you are of, as virtually all believe in some form of communication with a higher power, so pray, and take heart from the words "Ask and ye shall receive."

For the same reason that your parents would rather sit down and talk to you than leave you lists of things to do with your day. He wants a friendship with you.

Is a God that spoon-feeds you every answer really the God you believe in? If so, what a pitiful life.

You aren't the first one that has ever asked this question. But you are fortunate because Jesus Himself answered it for you..
John 6:28-29
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

So believe in Jesus Christ and you will be doing the things God wants you to do... Jim
