I am buying Microsoft office which costs $149. I will get a new computer next year and want to know If I will be able to transfer it to my new computer.

Uninstall from your old computer first, then install to the new one. When you activate, MS might send you to a website or phone number to certify that you are only installing to a single machine. It shouldn't be too much trouble in most cases.

At $149, be sure of your source. Academic versions are available at that price if you're a student or faculty member. But if it's not from an approved retailer (e.g. the campus bookstore), it might be questionable.

Yes, just keep the install disks and the license key and you can reinstall it anytime.

'fraid not (in my experience)...them MS folks are very pickayooney about their expensive software and it activates based on your CPU chip id I think...
